María Del Cerro (born 20 March 1985) is an Argentine actress, model and occasional singer. She began her modelling career by winning reality show for models SúperM in 2001,[1][2] and became one of Argentine leading modelling figures. Del Cerro spawned her acting career in 2007, in television series Romeo y Julieta. Her biggest role by now came with the Cris Morena Group series Casi Ángeles. Before that, Del Cierro was also known for being a girlfriend of popular actor Benjamín Rojas.[2][3]

Career

María Del Cerro began her modelling career by winning reality show for models SúperM in 2001.[1][2] She then became a face of several campaign, such as UFO, Ricky Sarkany, Ivana Picallo, Sweet Victorian, Muaa, Naffta, Union Good, Batido Express and Anca & Co,[4] and also did fashion shows.[5] In 2007, Del Cerro landed the role of Camille Donté in the Canal 9 series Romeo y Julieta, which was her debut role.[6] The same year, she has begun portraying Melody Paz in the Cris Morena Group hit series Casi Ángeles, co–starring Emilia Attias, Nicolás Vázquez and Teen Angels.[1][3][6]

Personal life

Del Cerro is nicknamed "Mary" by her friends and family.[7] She cited Bon Jovi her favourite music artist,[7] Alchemist favourite book and Jerry McGuire favourite film.[7] Del Cerro dated popular Argentine actor and singer Benjamín Rojas for four years, announcing the split in 2010.[2][3]
